The pencil draws a bomb, a door, or words
The Steam page lists three pencil uses: sketch bombs and kick them, draw doors and kick them down, and write on walls with no reason required. It does not print an ink cost, a durability number, or a fourth shape such as a gun or a floor.

Soft's English review says you can scribble any picture with the pen. Gluttonous Beast's review says the pencil can draw pictures on walls. Those are player reports from launch day, not a developer manual.
